Behind TheHealthMentors is an interdisciplinary team of doctors, coaches, mentors, and therapists.
What connects us? A deep conviction that true health can only be achieved holistically—with knowledge, intuition, and heart.
My name is Birgit Kohl – I am a functional medicine doctor specializing in pediatrics and adolescent medicine, a masters degree (MSc) in Natural Medicine, epigenetics Coach, a Pyroluria Coach (HPUandYou Coach), and a Health Coach. Above all, I am the wife of a wonderful husband, a passionate mother of four amazing children and a lover of animals and nature. My family reminds me daily how unique each person is – with individual needs, challenges, and potential.
My fascination with medicinal plants and wild herbs was instilled in me at an early age by my grandmother. She showed me the beauty and power of nature and taught me how it can nourish us, alleviate ailments, and promote long-term health.
This knowledge is still reflected in my work today. I have always felt the need to support and help people – especially those who are often overlooked or misunderstood. Children who are labeled as “too wild,” “too quiet,” or “too sensitive,” or young people who do not fit into conventional norms. Those who supposedly have “no motivation.” Even adults who are exhausted and feel that their body and mind are capable of more than they outwardly show. And that's what I am here for.
The topic of Pyroluria is particularly close to my heart—not only professionally, but also personally. I am affected myself and know how challenging this metabolic condition can be. Pyroluria is like a chameleon—it has many different facets and manifests differently in each person. My four children also have Pyroluria, which is why I understand exactly what affected families experience every day. Based on this experience, I have made it my mission to support children with Pyroluria in particular and to provide them with the best possible support through targeted approaches.
With TheHealthMentors, I had a vision and I am happy to have created a community of experts who pool their knowledge and strengths to accompagny people of all ages on their personal health and life journeys. Our goal? To bring out the best in you – in every phase of life. For children and adolescents: I am committed to ensuring that children and adolescents can grow up healthy and full of energy. I value development that promotes their individual strengths and medical support that thinks outside the box. The topics of autism, ADHD, Pyroluria, and highly sensitive persons are particularly important to me. Together with my colleague Dr. Frank Kaiser, I perform Inuspherese® treatments for children and adolescents. This makes us unique.
For adults: I support people who want to actively take control of their health instead of leaving it to chance. With targeted strategies for healthy aging and a long, fulfilling life (Healthy Aging & Longevity), we work not only extend lifespan, but above all, improve quality of life.
Our mission: We decipher what your body truly needs to be healthy, productive, and fulfilled—and this applies to every age group. We don't just listen, but look beyond the surface - because that's where the answers that will change your life for the long term often lie. My approach: I see the person in their entirety, with body, soul, mind, and energy. From everything that reveals itself, visible and between the cells and lines, a «picture» forms that helps me identify where resources can be strenghtened, blockages released, and potential developed. Holistic, individual, and sustainable.
Decode yourself—decide your highest YOU.
I look forward to accompanying you on your journey. If you´re interested in my entire portfolio of training and continuing education opportunities, please get in touch. I´ll send you the list.
I am Mirjam Burger, MSc in Advanced Nursing Practice, yoga teacher, epigenetics coach, certified health and nursing professional, and neuromental trainer.
With my experience and passion, I support people in bringing their body, mind, and soul into harmony. Through a combination of yoga, breathing exercises, and scientifically based counseling, I help reduce stress, promote well-being, and develop sustainable, healthy habits.
My holistic approach is based on the belief that every person has the ability to find and strengthen their inner balance.
It became to me early on that I wanted to help people. As the eldest of four siblings, I developed a deep sense of responsibility and a special fascination for the connections within the human body.
At the age of nine, I asked for a book on foot reflexology and began trying out my first therapeutic techniques. The desire to understand the causes of ailments and treat them in a targeted manner has stayed with me ever since.
Today, I hold a Bachelor of Science in physical therapy/Physiotherapy and specialize in the treatment of chronic pain patients of all ages, especially children and adolescents. I am particularly interested in the interactions between posture, fascia, muscles, and bones. When these structures are out of balance, it can affect the entire organism.
In order to best help my clients, despite my young age, I have already completed numerous advanced training courses in these areas. My path was not chosen by chance, as I have suffered from headaches myself since the age of six and know from personal experience how much chronic pain can burden one´s life. I am also familiar with the metabolic disorder Pyroluria– not only becaus of my personal involvement, but also because I know the many faces of this often overlooked diagnosis.
In addition to my work with pain patients, I am particularly passionate about the very young children and expectant mothers. That´s why I support women and their babies with targeted concepts during pregnancy and the postpartum period to give both the best possible start to their life together.
I am passionate about TheHealthMentors' concept because it sees the person as a whole and combines different disciplines to find sustainable solutions. That´s precisely why I am a fully committed member of the team. Because real change requires a holistic perspective, sound knowledge, and an open heart.
I am Nina Bischof, married and the mother of a wonderful daughter. The world of medicine has always fascinated me, especially the holistic and cause-oriented approaches of complementary medicine.
After completing my training as a pharmacy assistant and further training as a pharmaceutical operations assistant, I worked for many years in facilities specializing in complementary medicine concepts. I also took on management positions. During this time, it became increasingly clear to me that true health is more than the absence of symptoms. It occurs when body, mind, and lifestyle are in harmony.
This realization is also personally relevant to me. I live with Pyroluria and know the challenges associated with it. That´s precisely why it is important to me to encourage people to actively shape their health. Because I am convinced that every person has the potential to develop their best self.
With my work, I support the vision and goals of TheHealthMentors. While others provide direct support, I am the driving force behind the scenes. I ensure structure, organization, and smooth processes—all the processes that enable our collaborative work. Because only when clarity and passion work together can we support people holistically and bring about real change.
I am Andrina Engeler – a therapist with heart, intuition, and a holistic approach to people. In my work, I combine person-centered counselling, energy and bodywork, and nutritional counseling.
For me, the focus is on the whole person – with all their thoughts, feelings, and physical needs. Even as a child, I was influenced by a conscious lifestyle – healthy eating, mindfulness, and a deep trust in our own intuition and self-healing powers were a natural part of this.
These values have strongly influenced my current understanding of health and continue to guide my work today. In a safe and respectful space, I accompany you on your journey to greater clarity, balance, and inner strength.
For 30 years, I have worked as an anesthesiologist, intensive care physician, and emergency physician in the field of preclinical and clinical acute medicine.
Working in the operating room, intensive care unit, ambulance, or rescue helicopter was challenging yet satisfying. Through the many interfaces with other disciplines, I was able to acquire in-depth interdisciplinary knowledge over time.
For several years, I have been interested in functional medicine and orthomolecular medicine. I have also acquired additional qualifications in these areas. I am fascinated by the individual approach of science-based root cause analysis and the resulting therapy.
My practical focus is on detoxification and detoxification procedures, particularly blood and plasma purification procedures. In recent years, as the lead physician of an INUSPHERES® center , I have been able to gain valuable experience and scientifically support the procedure.
Particularly noteworthy, because unique, is that I perform blood and plasma purification procedures on children in close collaboration with Dr. Kohl.
My many years of experience as an anesthesiologist also come in handy here.
Another focus is the treatment of acute and chronic muscle and tissue tension as well as poor posture.
Through various body therapy trainings, I am competent in treating all complaints of musculoskeletal disorders.
Specialist in anesthesiology and emergency medicine Additional qualifications in functional medicine and orthomolecular medicine Manual medicine/sensory-motor body therapy according to Dr. Pohl
